Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG is one of the most extensively studied probiotic bacteria, with over 800 scientific studies, more than 200 clinical trials and 25 years of safe history of use.

The strain is registered in the ATCC collection under ATCC 53103 and is known for its robustness, allowing it to survive harsh environments such as the stomach and intestines.

Did you know?

The “GG” in L. rhamnosus GG comes from the surnames of Sherwood Gorbach and Barry Goldin, who first isolated the strain in 1983.
